Privacy notice

Last updated 19 October 2026

This notice explains what personal information GeniusPath collects when you use this website, book a call or join the programme, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. We collect as little as we need, we never sell it, and we never use it for anything you wouldn’t expect.

Who we are

GeniusPath is run by Abdinajib Yusuf, a qualified teacher, who is the data controller for the information described here. You can ask about anything in this notice by emailing hello@geniuspath.co.uk, by replying to any email from us, or on your call.

What we collect

When you fill in the free diagnostic form for parents

  • Your name, email address and mobile number.
  • Your child’s first name, if you give it.
  • Your answers about your child’s school year, exam board, exam timing, predicted grade, the grade their offer needs, where you think marks are being lost and when you would want to start.

When your child takes a student diagnostic

  • Their first name, and the parent name, email address and mobile number entered with it.
  • Their answers to the questions, including any written answer, and the scores and report produced from them.

When you register interest in a subject

  • Your name, email address, your child’s school year and the subject. We use these only to tell you when that subject opens.

When you book a call

  • The details you enter into the booking calendar, such as your name, email address and the time you choose. Bookings are handled by Calendly.

If your child joins the programme

  • Contact details for you and your child, and billing details needed to take payment.
  • Your child’s attendance, weekly check-ins, marked papers, their answers and scores on the GeniusPath platform, session recordings, messages sent through WhatsApp support, and progress updates.

We don’t ask for, and you shouldn’t send us, sensitive information such as health details, unless it is needed to support your child and you choose to tell us. If you do, we will use it only for that purpose.

Your child’s information

GeniusPath is for A-level students, who are usually 16 to 18, and GCSE students, who are usually 14 to 16. We collect information about them mainly from you, their parent or guardian, and from the work they do with us. We use it only to teach them and to keep you informed. We never publish a student’s name, photo or results without consent.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t share it with anyone for their own marketing. We use a small number of trusted service providers that process it on our behalf, under terms that require them to keep it secure. They help us host this website, receive form answers, book calls, send email, run live sessions, record sessions, run the revision platform, provide WhatsApp support and take payment. Bookings are made through Calendly. The typefaces on this site are hosted on our own website, so loading them does not share anything with Google. We are happy to tell you which providers we use; just ask.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect a child’s safety.

International transfers

Some of these services, such as Calendly, may store information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and diagnostics that don’t lead to joining: up to 12 months after your last contact with us, then deleted.
  • Records of students on the programme: for the length of the programme and 12 months afterwards, so that we can deal with any guarantee claim or question.
  • Financial records: six years, as required for tax purposes.

Cookies and advert measurement

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. With your permission, this site uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, to tell us how many people arrive from our adverts, fill in the form, book a call or complete the diagnostic. It uses cookies, and Meta receives information such as your IP address, your browser and the pages you visit here, which it may link to your Facebook or Instagram account under its own privacy policy. We never send Meta your form answers, name, email address or phone number.

The pixel only loads if you choose “Accept” when we ask. If you choose “No thanks”, it isn’t loaded. The booking calendar from Calendly may set cookies needed for it to work.

Our lawful basis for the pixel is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time: change your cookie choice.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or move it to another service. You can object to us using it on the basis of legitimate interests, and withdraw consent at any time. To do any of these, reply to any email from us or ask on your call. We will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
