Terms

Last updated 19 October 2026

These terms apply when you book a place for your child on a GeniusPath programme, in any subject. They are written to be read, not skimmed past. If anything is unclear, ask us before you pay.

1. Who we are

GeniusPath is run by Abdinajib Yusuf, a qualified teacher (QTS) with a BSc in Chemistry. You can contact us at hello@geniuspath.co.uk. In these terms, “we” means GeniusPath, “you” means the parent or guardian who books and pays, and “your child” means the student taking part.

2. The programme

  • Live online sessions in the subject you book, every week, with a recording of each session.
  • Sessions run from the week your child joins until their final exam in that subject. The number of sessions each week and their times are confirmed in writing when you book.
  • Marked predicted papers at the start, at mocks and at Easter, a personal Mark Recovery Plan, access to the GeniusPath revision platform, WhatsApp support between sessions, weekly check-ins and a monthly update to you.

Session times are confirmed when you book. We may occasionally need to move a session; if we do, we will give as much notice as possible and offer a replacement.

3. Booking and payment

Your place is confirmed when we have confirmed it to you in writing and received your first payment. The fee, and whether it is paid in full or in instalments, is agreed with you before you book and confirmed in writing, including when each payment is due. If an instalment is more than 14 days late, we may pause your child’s place until it is paid.

4. Your right to cancel

You have 14 days from the day your place is confirmed to cancel for any reason and get a full refund. Tell us in writing, by email or by replying to any message from us. If you ask for sessions to start within those 14 days and then cancel, we will refund the fee minus a fair amount for the sessions already delivered.

After the 14 days, you can stop the programme by telling us in writing. The notice period and what is refunded are the ones agreed with you in writing when you book.

5. Missed sessions

Every session is recorded, so your child can catch up on any session they miss. Missed sessions are not refunded or rescheduled individually, and they count towards the attendance condition of the guarantee below. If we cancel a session, we will run a replacement.

6. The guarantee

If your child does all three of the following and still misses the grade their university offer needs in the subject they study with us, we will refund the programme fee you have paid in full.

  1. They attend at least 90% of sessions.
  2. They submit the weekly check-in, every week.
  3. They retry every set topic until they score 90% or more.

To claim, email us within 30 days of A-level results day with your child’s results slip and their offer letter or UCAS record showing the required grade. We check the claim against our attendance, check-in and retry records, which you and your child can ask to see at any time during the programme. We pay valid claims within 14 days. The guarantee applies to the programme options it is confirmed for in writing when you book.

7. What we expect from your child

  • To join sessions on time, ready to work, and to treat the teacher and other students with respect.
  • To complete the set work, check-ins and retries between sessions.
  • Not to record, screenshot or share sessions or other students’ work.

If a student’s behaviour seriously disrupts sessions for others, we will talk to you first. If it continues, we may end their place and refund the fee for the remaining part of the programme.

8. Safeguarding

Chemistry sessions are taught by Abdinajib, a qualified teacher. We contact students only through the channels agreed with you at the start, and you can ask to be copied in on any contact. If we have a concern about a child’s safety or wellbeing, we will act on it, which may include contacting you or the relevant authorities.

9. Results

We will teach well, mark honestly and tell you how your child is doing. Results depend on your child’s own work and on the exam itself, so apart from the guarantee in section 6, we do not promise any particular grade or university place.

10. Materials

The papers, plans, notes and other materials we provide are for your child’s own use while on the programme. Please don’t share or sell them.

11. Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for losses to a business. Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you have paid us. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it, or affects your legal rights as a consumer.

12. Your information

We use personal information as described in our privacy notice.

13. Complaints

If something isn’t right, tell us by replying to any email from us. We will reply within 5 working days and try to put it right.

14. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.

15. Changes

We may update these terms for new bookings. Changes will not apply to a programme you have already paid for unless you agree to them.
